Students’ Choice Award gets its first consecutive winner

For the first time, there is a back-to-back winner of the Students' Choice Award. Mr Aaron Tan Tuck Choy, Lecturer, Department of Computer Science, won the Students' Choice Award 05/06 for his CS1101X Programming Methodology module website.

His win comes despite a change in the award's assessment methodology. This year, CIT counted the highest percentage of votes within a module. This differs from previous years' methodology, based on absolute number of votes. The new method accounts more accurately for class size.

The StudentsÂ’ Choice Award is an annual competition, carried out in the first semester of the academic year, to recognize excellence in module website content and design. Students vote online for module websites, judging them on content, design, usability and technical issues.
