I graduated from NUS’ Bachelor of Environmental Studies (Geography)  in 2017.  I have been fascinated by human-environment relations: the continuous interactions and inextricable co-dependence between human systems and Nature. These connections also suggest that there is a need to bridge and connect different silos to deal with the environmental challenges we face today – which is something I hope to work on in the future.

Aligning with my interests, I am currently working on the project “Assessing Singapore’s Natural Capital” as a research assistant in the Valuation Work package. Broadly, this project aims to understand the values (monetary and non-monetary) people place on various ecosystem services in Singapore.  I hope that the outcome of this project will help  Singaporeans gain an appreciation of the ecosystem services around us and promote better environmental decision-making for policymakers.
