The research developed in our lab deals with the complex interactions between ecosystems, social and economic systems. This complexity requires an interdisciplinary approach where ecology and epidemiology are linked to economics and policy analysis. Specific research areas of the lab are: tropical forests conservation, trade-offs between agriculture and ecosystem services, control of infectious diseases, invasive alien species and the economics of dengue control interventions.
