A Long Cruel Road to Slaughter Houses
A secret investigation carried out by some European animal welfare organisations has exposed blatant violation of laws governing transportation of live cattle between different countries. Read about it and watch the campaigners’ videos on their investigation here: Now, this shouldn’t surprise anyone because obviously, animal farming for food is a profit-making business, and there is no place for compassion in a profit-making business. The onus is on us consumers to show that we care for animals – And not by just demanding that producers treat the animals well. Why should they? And even if there were such a thing as humane-slaughter, is it ethical? Nobody talks of ethical slaughter of humans. Then what gives us the right to treat animals the way we do? We can choose not to create demand for animal products in the first place – to live a cruelty-free life. Recent scientific evidence suggest that a Vegan lifestyle not only does not kill those who practise it, but is possibly one of the healthiest diet for the human body. For the nature conservationists and eco-lovers, going Vegan is the best thing you could do to save the environment – before it is too late. Not many people know that factory farming is one of the top two contributors to global warming (Yeah, Al Gore didn’t tell us that). We have the power to contribute in a big way to alleviating the suffering of animals. It is only a matter of plucking up some courage and making the choice – once and for all. – Sandeep

Animal-Friendly Products. Get yours today !
Finding animal-friendly products has not always been easy. Everytime I want to buy products that are animal-friendly the only brand that comes to mind is THE BODY SHOP. There has never been much variety. I decided it was time to get some research done and find out about other animal-friendly brands. I came across this website by PETA that is very useful when searching for animal friendly products. Though, a lot of the products are based in the United States, I was still able to find quite a range of products that were available here in Singapore. Revlon is one of them. I have always been a fan of Revlon especially their eyeliner but now I dont have to worry about any rabbit going blind because I needed eyeliner.
